Tankerman--All Grades

Item Number: 116318 Author: Block Binding: Soft Cover

Changes to Tankerman regulations focus attention on training the Tankerman to perform his duties safely and with regard to protecting the environment. The Coast Guard now requires formal training for tankermen and merchant marine officers who regularly transfer petroleum and other dangerous liquids (DL) and liquefied flammable gases (LFG) that, if released, could harm the environment. This book contains the study material that tankermen will need to understand to enter the field or to renew their documents. This material also prepares qualified candidates for Tankerman type questions that appear on deck and engine license exams with their renewed emphasis on protecting the environment, and safely transferring petroleum and chemical cargoes.
