CoastPak

CoastPak raster charts on CD-ROM are manufactured by SoftChart, a subsidiary of Pinpoint Systems (Nautical Technologies, producer of Cap'n, and Capt'n Jack's Software Source, a marine e-tailer, are also subsidiaries).

CoastPak charts are produced in the .nos graphics format that is supported by the following marine navigation software packages:

All raster scans are at a resolution of 254 dpi and are made from NOAA, NIMA, Army Corps of Engineers, and private-source paper charts.  A a proprietary color palette is used that is different from the paper "parent" charts.  Harbor, ocean, and planning charts are bundled on CD-ROM's in regional groups with coverage throughout the world for coastal and inland waterways.
